Standard carpet cleaning removes surface stains — but pet urine soaks through the carpet fibers, into the backing, and often down to the pad or subfloor. From there, we select the right treatment product for each situation: enzyme-based cleaners for fresh stains, oxidizers for older set-in urine, or biomodifiers for the most severe contamination. Every case is different, and the wrong product on the wrong stain makes things worse, not better.
In severe cases — where urine has saturated the carpet pad or reached the subfloor — cleaning alone won’t solve the problem. We’ll tell you honestly whether the pad needs to be replaced or the subfloor needs to be sealed before the carpet can be successfully treated.
